📣Special Announcement📣 Kelso C-7 is filled with pride and excitement as we share that Mrs. Stacy Creech has been named one of only five finalists in the entire state for the Missouri School Counselor Association’s Counselor of the Year award. Mrs. Creech pours her heart into supporting our students and families every single day. Her care, compassion, and dedication shine through in everything she does. Whether she is guiding students through challenges to celebrating their successes, she gives everything she has. In November, she will be honored at the MSCA statewide conference, and we couldn’t be more proud. This recognition is a reflection of the difference she makes in the lives of our Kelso C-7 community. CONGRATULATIONS, Mrs. Creech! We are so thankful for you!

🌟School Custodian Appreciation Day🌟

Today we pause to recognize and celebrate two special members of our Falcon family—Mr. Ted and Mr. Jeff—for School Maintenance & Custodian Appreciation Day. 💙💛

From the first light of the morning until long after the last student leaves, these two gentlemen are hard at work making sure Kelso C-7 is safe, clean, and welcoming. Whether it’s keeping our classrooms clean, fixing the little things that break, preparing our gym for events, or just offering a friendly smile in the hallway—Mr. Ted and Mr. Jeff pour their hearts into our school each and every day.

Here is Fozzie, pictured with one of his favorite Kelso C-7 Grandparents, Mrs. Linda! They are here to let you know of our newly rescheduled Grandparent's Day date of:

On Thursday, September 25, Grandparents Day invitations went home with all students. 🎒💌

We are thrilled to welcome our Falcon grandparents to Grandparents Day at Kelso C-7 on Friday, October 17, 2025. This special celebration will include:
✨ Refreshments (cookies & drinks)
✨ A visit to the Book Fair together
✨ Classroom & hallway tours to see student work
✨ Quality time with your favorite Falcon 💙💛

🕰 Two sessions will be assigned based on RSVPs:
• 12:30 – 1:30 pm
• 1:30 – 2:30 pm

Families, please return your RSVP form by Friday, October 3 so we can plan seating, refreshments, and materials. From there we will place our families into groups and return with each family the time allotted for your family.

We can’t wait to celebrate with our Falcon grandparents! 💙🐦💛

📣What's Happening Wednesday📣 A peek into some of our classroom learning this week! I did NOT get pics in all classes but will make sure to get them when we share classrooms again. Our teachers do a wonderful job of guiding students to deeper levels of thinking and have set high expectations for their classrooms. We are so thankful for all of their hard work!💙✨

🐾Fozzie Friday🐾 Look who got a PAW-sitive Office Referral this week??? It was time our favorite furry friend earned a little reward for all the love he spreads throughout the school. Fozzie is always ready for students to come see him in the office. He is a pal to everyone, from students to staff, and even parents and grandparents that visit! Fozzie loves visiting the classrooms, seeing his friends in the hallway, and he LOVES posing for pictures with students. Yes, Fozzie has learned that when the phone comes out, he gets to pose for a picture!📸🐾 We are so thankful for all the PAW-sitivity that he spreads throughout the day. Congrats, Fozzie, on your PAW-sitive Office Referral! 🐾

New Hamburg 4-H: All community members in grades 3 and up are invited to attend an informational meeting about New Hamburg 4-H. The meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 23, at the St. Lawrence Gym at 6:30 pm.

New Hamburg 4-H will meet quarterly and will offer short-term learning experiences for members. Opportunities will include cooking, outdoor adventures, and additional activities to be announced. Some of these learning experiences will also be offered in partnership with Kelso C-7 after-school programs.

There is no commitment required to attend the informational meeting—this is simply a chance to listen, learn, and see what 4-H has to offer.

🐾Fozzie Friday🐾 This week, our Kindergarten students were working on the letter "F", and they got a special visit from their favorite friend, Fozzie! Here are a few pictures from his visit! The students learned about how to pet him the right way, and so many of them loved his soft fur! We hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!🐾💙
