Today, even in the shadow of yesterday’s tragedies, we pause to honor and remember. 💙💛

Our hearts ache for the crimes that shook our sense of safety and the impact on our children and community. Yet even in sorrow, we hold tightly to the hopes we carry for their future.

May we find strength in the darkness, hope in one another, and a way back to the unity we all felt on September 12th.

We are looking for teams and volunteers to join us for this fun event. Proceeds go directly toward Falcon Foundation Grants that support our students and classrooms.

🐾Fozzie Friday🐾 There’s no better way to end the week than with our sweet therapy dog, Fozzie! He’s been busy making his rounds at Kelso C-7, sharing tail wags, snuggles, and plenty of love with our staff. Fozzie loves seeing all of his pals in the building. When he sees them, his job is to first sit before he can be petted. As you can see from these pictures, they loved seeing him as much as he loved seeing them. We hope everyone has a wonderful weekend . 🐾🐾

✨Student Spotlight✨ What a week!! Our first full week of school and we have several students ranging all the way from Pre-K to 8th grade who earned Positive Office Referrals! WOW! We are SO PROUD of our students. Fozzie is proud of them as well! We are also proud of our staff who recognized these students going above and beyond and took the time to give them a referral. We are so fortunate to have great students AND staff at Kelso C-7!

🔨 Grandparents Day Update
Due to ongoing construction, Grandparents Day has been postponed until a later date. We’ll share the new date as soon as possible—thank you for your patience and understanding!

⛳ Falcon Foundation Golf Tournament
Join us on Friday, September 26 at the Cape Jaycees Golf Course!
We’re currently looking for teams and volunteers to make this event a success. All proceeds will go toward supporting Falcon Foundation Grants that directly benefit our students and classrooms.

🐾Fozzie Friday🐾 Our furry staff member, Fozzie the therapy dog, had a wonderful week at Kelso C-7. He made his way into most classrooms, spreading joy and calm wherever he went. Students loved seeing him at dismissal as he rolled out in style in his stroller, and of course, he managed to sneak in plenty of naps and treats in between all the love and attention. 💙 We are so thankful to have Fozzie as part of our school family—he’s already making a big difference in the hearts of our students and staff! 🐶🐾 Have a "paw"-some weekend, Falcons!

💛✨ Thankful Thursday ✨💙 As we begin this new school year, my heart is truly full of gratitude. As administrators, we had a vision for how we wanted this year to begin and because of the generosity of our PTO, we were able to make it happen. ✨We were able to partner with The Signal Event Center for beautiful balloon arches and table décor that set the perfect tone for both our teacher inservices and our Back to School Night. ✨We are also thankful for Dippidi Doo Dah Treats, who spoiled our staff with the sweetest dipped goodies. ✨Also, our PTO provided Amazon gift cards for every staff member, as well as Falcon t-shirts for every staff member AND substitute teacher. To our PTO: THANK YOU for VOLUNTEERING your time, love, and energy into Kelso C-7. Because of you, our Falcon family feels encouraged, celebrated, and ready for a wonderful year ahead. 💙💛

📣What’s Happening Wednesday 📣 We’ve officially wrapped up a week of school, and what a start it has been! Classrooms are buzzing with learning, and students are settling into routines with excitement and energy. Even with the challenges of our parking lot construction, our families and staff have shown patience and flexibility—thank you for working with us through this transition. We are especially proud of our students for practicing and modeling our behavior expectations, creating a positive and supportive environment for everyone. Here’s to a year filled with growth, teamwork, and success—both in and out of the classroom! 🌟

🚗 Morning Drop-Off Reminder 😊 To keep our drop-off line running safely and smoothly, we kindly ask all parents: 👉 If your child needs help getting out of the car, please pull into a parking spot first. 👟 You’re welcome to walk your child up to the main school door, but only after parking in a designated spot. This helps us keep traffic flowing and ensures everyone's safety. 💙 Thank you for your cooperation and for helping us start the school day right! 🌞 🚧 Construction Update 🚧 We’re excited to share that work on our construction project is officially beginning! ✅ Car rider procedures in the morning and afternoon will remain the same—no changes are needed. 🚌 Morning buses for high school students: Students will enter through the main doors, walk through the gym, and board the bus from the gym’s exterior doors. 🚶‍♂️ Afternoon buses: High School Students who need to join the car rider line after riding the bus will enter through the gym, exit the main doors, and walk to their car for pickup. Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we make these improvements for our school community

💻✨ Families, just a reminder that digital enrollment must be completed by noon on Thursday. You can log in easily through TeacherEase to finish up.

If enrollment isn’t completed by then, no worries—we’ll make sure paper packets are sent home on Friday so every student is ready to go.

📚💛 School starts in just 2 days! We know the excitement is real—but so are those first-day butterflies.
Sometimes saying “see you later” can be hard… for the kids and for the moms (yes, we see you 😉).

Our amazing Guidance Counselor, Mrs. Stacy Creech, has shared some helpful tips to make the goodbye a little easier—for everyone! 💙
