❄️Winter Wonderland❄️ ❄️Middle School Dance❄️ Our Beta Club Sponsors hosted a fun and memorable dance this past Friday! We are so thankful for Mrs. Hale, Mrs. Wagner, and Mr. Jenkins for all their work (as well as the help of Beta Club members) to make this an amazing experience for our students.

A short week ahead for our Falcons:

🐾Fozzie Friday🐾 I get asked a lot if Fozzie comes to school everyday. The short answer is no:). The long answer is "he's still just a puppy". Coming to school wears Fozzie out, in the best way possible! He stays "on" throughout the day vs getting to nap all day when he is at home :). From the moment we pull into the parking lot on his days here, he begins to whine, and is SO EXCITED to see the kids and adults. Fozzie absolutely loves being at school. He loves walking down the hallways, he loves going to the classrooms, he loves when students come to visit, and he loves arrival and dismissal time. But by his third day of being at school, he is absolutely worn out, and sleeps all day:). 😴 With that said, we try to break up his days. Fozzie rarely comes three days in a row, and on days when Mrs Lands has to stay extra late (ballgames, meetings), Fozzie usually stays home. For now:) As Fozzie keeps getting older, he will be able to tolerate more time at school. For right now, it's 3-4 days a week 🐾💙 Lastly, Fozzie is not taking to these cold days very well. If you saw him in the car rider line on Wednesday, you saw him flipping and flopping and whining to go back inside. So, I guess this means he will be indoors, hibernating, during arrival and dismissal some days😉🥶 Have a great weekend, Falcons!🐾🐾

✨What's Happening Wednesday✨ 📣Mini Cheer Clinic was a HUGE success! Thank you to our cheer coaches and cheerleaders for putting together a phenomenal event for our mini-cheerleaders! 📣We loved seeing all of the smiles during their practice and performance. Thank you to all of the families that allowed their 8️⃣2️⃣ children to be part of this!

✨Weekly Spotlight✨ We had a record breaking week of Positive Office Referrals! I'm so thankful for the kids we have at school that are so willing to help others. They are setting the expectation for how we treat each other. Grateful. Thankful. Blessed. Additionally, one of our students made her way onto the stage at Notre Dame for their weekend production of "Silver Belles"!🎬 We are proud of our students for all of their accomplishments! *One student is missing from the original post but will be added later today:)

The Board of Education will have their regular meeting Wednesday, November 20th at 6:00 pm in the District Library area. As always, all are welcome and invited to attend.

🐾Fozzie Friday🐾 What a fun week this has been for our four legged buddy! Fozzie got to go to his very first pep rally at school! He had such a great time!📣📣 Next he celebrated Veteran's Day by wearing red, white, and blue! We are so thankful for our veterans!🇺🇸 This week he began going with Mrs Creech for her whole class counseling class. Each of the students got to pet Fozzie before Mrs Creech began her lesson! Finally, Fozzie helped one of our students celebrate her birthday this week! Fozzie says this week was PAW-some!🐾

📣What's Happening Wednesday📣 WOW! It's been an eventful week! Our first Pep Rally of the year was a HUGE HIT! We played a VERY competitive game of musical chairs (with Mr Jenkins as our DJ), introduced our basketball teams, cheer squads, and Malcolm the Falcon, led the students in some fun cheers, and played a competitive pom pom shooting contest amongst some of our teachers! 👏🏻Mrs Schubert won, by the way👏🏻 Additionally, our school currently has a lot of visual representations of student work and it is a great sight to see. Our classes have been working hard and we love showing off their work. Happy Wednesday, Falcons!

👏🏻Weekly Spotlight - Part 2👏🏻 We have one more BIG spotlight for the week, and that is recognizing two of our young men for their recent awards! At a recent sports banquet at Kelly, Keagan was recognized as Defensive Player of the Year and Leeland was recognized as Newcomer of the Year!🏈. We are so proud of them! Congratulations!!

🇺🇸 2024 Veteran's Day Program🇺🇸 I will try to upload more pics and add videos (if possible) to the comments. This was the BEST Veterans Day celebration we have had at Kelso C-7. Thank you to our veterans who attended today, and more importantly, for your service to our country.

🐾Fozzie Friday🐾 I forgot to share Fozzie's Halloween costume last week! The Jennings Family brought Fozzie the cutest costume last week, and he wore it around school and during dismissal! They also brought him two more fantastic bandanas! Fozzie wore one of them this week! Also pictured is Fozzie sitting in Dr Burger's office! As you can see, he makes himself right at home, in the chairs, just like all the humans do! We hope you all have a great Friday and a wonderful weekend!💙🐾
