📣 Celebrating Mrs. Stacy Creech for School Counselor Appreciation Week!
This week, we are PROUD to celebrate the heart and dedication of Mrs. Stacy Creech, who goes above and beyond for our students every single day.
Whether she's leading small group sessions where students connect and grow together or offering one-on-one counseling with care and compassion, Mrs. Creech always makes every student feel seen, heard, and valued.
Her unwavering positivity and warm smile brighten our hallways, and her support for all of our Falcons is unlike any other. We are blessed to have her.
Thank you, Mrs. Creech, for your tireless commitment, endless patience, and the love you pour into everything you do. Our school is a better place because of you.

📣Monday Memo📣 We will celebrate the 100th Day NEXT MONDAY, February 10th!

📢 Important Update: School Communication During Closures 📢
We have identified some communication errors affecting updates during school closures. Our IT team is actively working to ensure a stable connection to our student information system and the text messaging.
In the meantime, we encourage families to download our school app for updates. Instructions on how to enable the necessary settings are attached to this post.
Thank you for your patience and understanding. We appreciate those who have reached out, and we are committed to keeping everyone informed!

Dear Kelso C-7 Families,
Due to continued illness, Kelso C-7 will be closed Friday, January 31. We appreciate your understanding and hope everyone takes this time to rest and recover. We look forward to welcoming our students back on Monday!
Homework & AMI Packets:
Please return completed homework and AMI packets when students return. The completed AMI packets will count for student attendance on Tuesday, January 28th, and Wednesday, January 29th.
Make-Up Day Adjustments:
In reviewing our calendar, we realized an oversight in the assigned make-up days. As a result:
March 19th will now be a make-up day.
May 13th will now be a full school day.
May 14th will be a noon dismissal for summer break.
Thank you for your support and cooperation. Stay well, and we look forward to seeing everyone back on Monday!

Due to ongoing illness, school will be closed on Thursday, January 30. This is not an AMI day, but the missed day will be made up on May 14.
We will continue to monitor illness levels throughout the day on Thursday to determine whether closure will be necessary on Friday, January 31. Our priority is the health and well-being of our students and staff, and we appreciate your cooperation as we assess the situation.
Offices will be open today (1/29) and tomorrow (1/30) from 8 am - 2 pm for families to pick up remaining absentee and AMI work.
If your child has tested positive for Flu A or is experiencing symptoms such as fever, chills, body aches, cough, sore throat, congestion, or fatigue, please email Nurse Burger at monicab@kelsoc-7.k12.mo.us or Dr. Kim Burger at kburger8@kelsoc-7.k12.mo.us. This information will help us make an informed decision regarding Friday’s schedule.
We also encourage families to take this time to finish any outstanding AMI work from previous days and to prioritize rest and recovery.
Thank you for your understanding and support. Stay well!
Dr. Burger

📣Weekly Spotlight📣
We had several amazing Positive Office Referrals this week! Congrats to our kids for making the good decisions! We are proud of you!

🐾Fozzie Friday🐾
Fozzie was able to welcome some new students to school the last few weeks. Here is one of our newest Falcons, with a first grader who was happy to take him to my office to meet Fozzie!
Also, Fozzie has been showered with new toys to have in the office and he LOVES playing with them. Mr Ted was hoping the toy squirrel would make Fozzie become a hunting dog....but I'm not so sure that will happen💙😂
Last, Fozzie sure likes taking his naps at school. He has a routine:
🐾Arrive at school
🐾Walk the building after the bell rings
🐾Treat Time
🐾Nap Time
🐾Walk the building, see students and teachers
🐾Treat Time
🐾Nap Time......(this is off and on all afternoon)
🐾Time to go home!
Fozzie visits different classrooms each day, and we squeeze that in somewhere between his naps💙
Have a GREAT Weekend, Falcons!
