We hope that all of our families had a wonderful spring break. We are excited to see our student back in the building tomorrow (Tuesday, April 2). There are a couple BIG items this week for our district. Tomorrow is election day for both our Prop K.I.D.S. bond campaign and Board of Education members. As always, please head to your local station and vote. If you can, take your student with you. It is a great learning experience for them to see civics in action. We also need your help to evaluate this year and plan for upcoming years. Please take 5-7 minutes to take a brief survey. The data will be used throughout the building to help plan programming for the upcoming year and years to come. We appreciate your time! Below is the survey link. Here is the link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/38SW8K6 See you all soon!

School Communications Good morning Kelso C-7 Family, I appreciate all of your understanding as we worked to keep our school family safe this morning by means of a delay. We are in the middle of winter and with that comes tough calls like today and communicating these decisions to you as efficiently as possible. We understand the impact snow days and delays have on our families. Trying to make arrangements while balancing your own employment. Cancellations and delays are not one that we take lightly. We are protecting precious cargo. Here are a few ways that Kelso C-7 will communicate these decisions to our families: KFVS - 12 Kelso C-7 Facebook page Kelso C-7 App - push notifications Classroom communication platforms Kelso C-7 utilizes an app for your convenience of all things C7. The Angel Tree Committee sent this to our District earlier and we are delayed in forwarding it. Our apologies for the delay but also deep gratitude for their service to our community!! D E A R C O M P A S S I O N A T E H E A R T S , As we reflect on the joy and spirit of giving during the Christmas season, we would like to extend our deepest gratitude to all those involved in making the Angel Tree project an incredible success. Your generosity, dedication, and unwavering support have brought immense happiness to individuals and families in need. Together, we were able to assist 23 adults, 77 children, and even a beloved furry friend with gifts, ensuring that the holiday season was brighter for each one. Here is just one example of the impact that you made on one single mother’s life this Christmas: Sara is one of the single mothers that was helped because of your generosity. Sara is living in a treatment facility with only her infant and what she could carry with her. She has been running from her previous abusive living situation and trying to start over. After Sara had received the Christmas gifts, she was absolutely overwhelmed. Sara informed her Case Manager how amazing the gifts were and how perfectly the outfits fit her daughter. Sara wants everyone to know how grateful and blessed she is to have received these gifts. Additionally, your kindness extended to filling 130 stockings for those in need, providing them with essentials and heartfelt treats that undoubtedly brought smiles and warmth during this festive time. The impact of your efforts is immeasurable. Through your contributions of time, resources, and compassion, an estimated $30,000 was spent on gifts, while $6,000 was dedicated to filling those 130 stockings. Your willingness to help others, especially during this time of year, is truly inspiring and humbling. The smiles, gratitude, and warmth shared by those who received these gifts and stockings are a testament to the profound difference your support has made in their lives. Your kindness has created cherished memories and moments that will be remembered far beyond the holiday season. Please accept our heartfelt thanks for your invaluable contributions and commitment to the Angel Tree project. Your generosity embodies the spirit of giving and has made a lasting impact on our community. We are immensely grateful for your support and look forward to continuing this meaningful journey together. Wishing you and your loved ones a joyous holiday season filled with happiness, peace, and the same generosity you've shown to others. May God bless you all!

Return to Regular Routes Bus routes will return to regular routes this afternoon (1/17/24). Students will be dropped off at their regular drops and times. Students in grades 4 and below must have a parent visible at drop off. If there is no parent visible, students will be brought back to school. This is our policy under normal circumstances, but is crucial during these dangerously cold conditions.

Please make sure students' extremities are covered and have a heavy coat. If your family does not have resources for a coat, please contact the school office. Preschool Families: We encourage you to park your vehicles at the top of the hill and walk your child down the sidewalks. The sidewalks are clear, but the drive still has patches of snow and ice.
