Kelso C-7 Board of Education | October 20, 2026

The Kelso C-7 Board of Education met on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, for its regular monthly meeting. The meeting included celebrations of the great things happening throughout our district, updates on school improvement efforts, and important decisions supporting our students, staff, and facilities.

Celebrating the Good

Counselor Stacy Creech and Title I Teacher Angel Toler shared this month's Two Minutes of Good, highlighting positive happenings in their programs and within our school. The Board also received an update on Positive Office Referrals, recognizing students who are making great choices and demonstrating positive behaviors.

School Safety

Dr. Burger shared positive feedback received from an EMT following a recent medical emergency at the school. The feedback provided an opportunity to recognize the importance of emergency preparedness and the efforts of those involved in responding to the situation.

Continuous School Improvement

The Board approved the district's updated Comprehensive School Improvement Plan (CSIP). This plan guides our ongoing efforts to strengthen student achievement, communication, school safety, and district operations.

The Board also reviewed program evaluations focused on Student Assessment and CSIP implementation. These regular evaluations help the district monitor progress, celebrate successes, and identify opportunities for continued growth.

Planning for the Future

The Board approved the district's Literacy Plan and Facilities Plan. These plans support our commitment to strong reading instruction, long-term facility maintenance, and responsible planning for the future.

The Board also adopted updates to several district policies and regulations to support district operations. These policies will be on the district’s website starting next week.
