Board Meeting Highlights
The Kelso C-7 Board of Education held its regular monthly meeting on Thursday, June 25, 2026. President Elizabeth Glastetter called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Board members present included Elizabeth Glastetter, Jim Eftink, Andrew Mothershead, Dustin Benson, Roy Buell, Michael Glastetter, and Travis Dirnberger. Also present were Dr. Kim Burger, Superintendent; Kristy Pobst, Board Secretary; and Debbie Lands, Principal.
District Budget Updates
The Board reviewed and approved amendments to the 2025-26 district budget. The Board also approved the 2026-27 district budget and budget message, which outlines the district’s financial plan and priorities for the upcoming school year.
Salary and Wage Schedules
The Board reviewed and approved the faculty and staff salary and wage schedules for the 2026-27 school year.
Tuition Rate Adjustment
The Board approved an increase to the non-resident student tuition rate for the 2026-27 school year. The new tuition rate will be $7,100, reflecting a $100 increase from the previous year.
Policy and Job Description Updates
The Board received updated district policies, regulations, and job descriptions for review. These items will be considered for approval at the next Board meeting.

Program Evaluations
The Board was presented with program evaluation templates for the following areas:

Preschool Services
These evaluations support continued review and improvement of district programs and services.
Safety and Emergency Planning
The Board received an update regarding the district’s Emergency Operations Plan and ongoing safety planning efforts.
Alternative Methods of Instruction (AMI) Plan
The Board approved the district’s Alternative Methods of Instruction (AMI) Plan for the upcoming school year. This plan provides guidance for instructional continuity during extended school closures.

Personnel Updates
Following closed session discussion, the Board approved the hiring of:
Tara Bova as the 4th Grade Teacher for the 2026-27 school year and Katie Glastetter as the Athletic Director.
The Board also approved advertising for a part-time custodian position for the 2026-27 school year.
The next regular meeting of the Kelso C-7 Board of Education will be held on August 11, 2026 at 6:00 p.m.
