Board of Education Meeting Highlights
April 13, 2026
The Kelso C-7 Board of Education met on Monday, April 13, 2026, to review district progress, recognize achievements, and take action on several important items. Below is a summary of key discussions and decisions from the meeting.
Celebrating Student Success
The Board was honored to hear this month’s “Two Minutes of Good,” presented by second grade teachers Mrs. Seabaugh and Ms. Hann. Their presentation highlighted positive experiences and accomplishments within their classrooms. The Board was excited and grateful to hear from their classrooms.
School Board Election Results
The Board officially accepted the certified results of the April 7, 2026, school board election. The district welcomes Andrew Mothershead and Roy Buell as members of the Board of Education and looks forward to their contributions. Thank you to Major Burger for his service to the school district.
Budget and Financial Updates
The Board approved budget amendments for the 2025–2026 fiscal year. These adjustments ensure that district finances remain aligned with current expenditures and priorities.
Safety and Facilities
The Board reviewed updates regarding safety drills, facility improvements, and a recent site safety assessment. The Board accepted the proposal from Zoeller for installation of ballistic film to be installed by Iron Badger.
Continuous School Improvement Plan (CSIP)
An updated version of the district’s Continuous School Improvement Plan (CSIP), reflecting January 2026 data, was presented and approved. The CSIP continues to guide district goals, accountability, and student achievement efforts.
Athletic Cooperative Agreement
The Board approved the MSHAA Athletic Cooperative Agreement with Scott County R-IV (Kelly) for the 2026–2027 school year. This partnership will continue to provide expanded opportunities for student participation in athletics.

Following the election, the Board reorganized and confirmed leadership positions for the upcoming year:
President: Elizabeth Glastetter
Vice President: Dustin Benson
Treasurer: Roy Buell
Board Secretary: Kristy Pobst
Newly elected board members were sworn in, and the district appreciates the continued leadership and service of all board members.
