Back To School Night 2023

The countdown is winding down to Back to School and our Annual Back to School Night!  We are just two short weeks away from our doors opening for our Annual Back to School Night!  Our faculty and staff are BEYOND excited to see our Falcons!

A few notables for the 23-24 Back to School Night:

  • New Families! There will be ONE orientation session for families new to Kelso C-7.  This will be in the Kelso C-7 gym.  If returning families would like a recap, you are welcome to attend as well.

  • For our returning families and anyone else that would benefit, there will be a short video with the Back to School basic information released the week of August 14th.  This video will cover information that would normally be covered during orientation.

  • Returning families will have an assigned time to head to their classrooms and put away their supplies.  If you have more than one last name among your kiddos, please go by the last name of the oldest school age child.

  • Time Slots: It is important to us that each family has adequate time to meet the teachers, put items away, and take care of your business.  Breaking the evening into smaller groups helps us accomplish that. We do ask you to follow the time slot given to maintain parking and time with teachers.

  • Preschool’s Back to School Night will be hosted at their new home at the 1016 Location.  Their schedule is included in the schedule.  Preschool families are welcome and encouraged to come to the main campus as well.

  • Special Helpers!  Some of our  special helpers will be located throughout the building if your family needs to touch base with them.

    • Health/Medications: Nurse Rongey and Nurse Burger will be in the nurse's office if your child has any medical conditions or medications that need to be discussed.

    • Transportation and Foodservice: Mr. Ted and Mrs. Laura will be in the MP room for any transportation or food service questions or items to discuss.

    • Special Education: Mrs. Lands and Ms. Roussin are the go-to persons for Special Education related questions and items.

    • Counseling: If your child has any counseling need or you have any questions about counseling related programs, stop by Mrs. Creech’s office in Team Room 1.

    • Other: Mrs. Lands and Dr. Burger will be either in the office or the MP room if you have any other questions or concerns.

  • State Test Results:  If your child took a state test during Spring 2023, the results are in (woohoo!!).  Individual Student Reports will be available in your child’s homeroom on back to school night.  If your family is unable to attend on Thursday, reports will be sent home with your child the first week of school.

We can't wait for all of our Falcons to fill the halls again!

Until then,

Dr. Kim Burger, Superintendent
